Instructions to use the Floor / Lane Marking Tape

1 Step1.

 Clean the floor well to ensure best adhesion. First sweep, then mop with an alcohol based cleaner. Wait until the floor is completely dry before proceeding.

2. Step2

Use a string to create a straight line. Tie off both ends to a weight (the weights that come with a tamper cart work nicely).

3. Step3

Applying by hand, peel back the liner and line up the edge of the tape perfectly parallel to the string. Carefully place the first edge of the tape, using a carpenter's square to ensure that the tape runs perfectly parallel to the string.

4. Step4

Roll out the floor tape, removing the liner as you go. Continually check the squareness of the line, because the slightest variation can cause the line to go crooked. . Use a tamper cart with at least a 200 pound load and a rubber roller to tamp down the tape. If you do not have a tamper cart, use a vehicle (can be a forklift) to drive over the tape.
